Calling all competitors 18 years old and younger! Meet in the fair contest tent, east of the grandstands at the fairgrounds on Saturday and Monday for games! Come participate in any or all of the exciting contests.

Come try your hand at everything from Bingo, Hula Hoop, or maybe a watermelon eating contest is more your style.  There are fun and games for everyone!

Fish Grab

Get hooked on the Fish Grab! Coming this year to the Iron County Fair is the Youth Fish Grab. Let your younger children try their hands catching a fish. Remember it is hands only. Parents can watch as the youth climb into the pond and grab the trout as their prize to take home.  The youth will be divided into ages 4-6, 7-10, 11+.The Fish Grab will be behind the grandstands this year.

Tickets for the Fish Grab will be sold in the contest tent Saturday and Monday for $2 per child. Please only (1) fish per child. The fish will be waiting for you to catch and take them home on Monday, September 2nd, 2019 at 5:00 pm, east of the grandstands.

Beautiful Baby Contest

“Wild, Wild West” is the theme for the 2019 Iron County Fair Beautiful Baby Contest. Adorable babies are plentiful in Iron County and if you want to see proof, visit the entertainment tent at the Iron County Fairgrounds on Saturday, August 31st where Iron County’s most beautiful babies will be gathering at 10 a.m. (sign-ups at 9:30 a.m.)

If your baby is the cutest around, enter him/her in the annual contest with an entry fee of only $5.

The contest is open to babies up to 24 months old. Boys and girls will compete separately, divided into the following age groups: 0-6 months, 7-12 months, and 13-24 months. The director, Dona Murphy, has been busy gathering up all kinds of prizes for the participating tots to compete for.

Winners will receive a wagon of their very own to be pulled in the parade on Monday. For more information contact the Iron County Fair at 435-477-8380.


Kids Tractor Pull

This event is for children 10 years old and younger.
Classes are decided by weight. A scale will be provided.
Winners – chosen by the longest distance measured.
Each child will have a chance to ride the tractor down the path, when the child cannot peddle to move the tractor after 10 seconds the turn is over and the
distance is measured.
Winners – 2 from each weight will be called to come back on Monday for a pull-off to declare Champions.
